FRANKIE BUCKLEY, ARTIST
Frankie is a native Mississippian. Art has always been an important part of her life. After high school, she studied commercial art and worked in that field for several years. As demand for her art grew, she decided to pursue a career as a professional artist.
Frankie has won numerous awards and her art has been collected throughout the United States and Canada. During the Reagan Administration, she was invited to hang one of her original paintings in the White House. Fourteen of Frankie's paintings were selected to hang in the Mississippi Pavilion at the World Fair in New Orleans. Frankie and husband, Tom began publishing her art in the late 1970's. A distribution network was developed to make her art available though out the United States and Canada. After owning and operating a retail art gallery for fifteen years, they closed to daily retail to focus on the art distribution market. Frankie, in addition to her own line of art, has designed for other publishing companies. Her art has been used in book illustrations, numerous cross stitch designs and on gift products. Frankie's art has been displayed in galleries, gift markets, private and corporate collections, though out the nation. Her present focus is creating one of a kind original painting in a contemporary presentation and in an abstract style. Abstracts enable her to have no limitations of expression...just an open avenue for moods, emotions, rhythm and mystery. She believes that her abstracts evoke an emotional and personal journey for the viewer. Presently she is working primarily in acrylics and mixed media on gallery wrapped canvas. |
